Chauffeur Service in Monaco: Arrive in Style, Travel Without Stress
Monaco is small, glamorous and famously hard to navigate by car. Steep streets, tunnels, limited parking

Inland from the coast, the Riviera rises into wild limestone hills. Here, villages cling to cliff edges, rivers carve deep gorges and artisans keep old crafts alive. A Gourdon day trip from Nice, combined with Tourrettes-sur-Loup and the Gorges du Loup, is one of the most beautiful excursions in the region, and one of the least crowded. Winding mountain roads make a private driver the ideal way to explore it.
Tourrettes-sur-Loup lies about 30 kilometres from Nice, roughly 40 minutes by car. Gourdon is further up the valley, around one hour from Nice and 20 minutes from Grasse. The roads are narrow, steep and full of hairpin bends, beautiful to look at but tiring to drive. With a Tourrettes-sur-Loup private driver, you simply enjoy the views.
Tourrettes-sur-Loup stands on a rocky spur, its outer houses forming a natural rampart. Inside, quiet lanes are home to painters, potters, weavers and jewellers who open their workshops to visitors.
The village is famous for its violets, grown on terraces around the village for perfume, confectionery and flower markets. Each spring, the Tourrettes-sur-Loup violet festival celebrates the flower with decorated floats and a battle of flowers.
Several restaurants have terraces overlooking the valley and the distant sea. It is a perfect stop between the morning visit and the gorges.
Between Tourrettes and Gourdon, the Loup river has carved a deep, green canyon. A Gorges du Loup tour by car reveals waterfalls, natural pools and vertiginous rock walls. Your driver can stop at the main viewpoints and at the cascade of Courmes, whose water falls straight down beside the road.
At Pont-du-Loup, a historic confectionery still makes candied fruit, jams and chocolates by hand, with free visits of its workshop. It is a favourite with children and food lovers alike.
Perched on a cliff more than 700 metres above sea level, Gourdon is listed among the Most Beautiful Villages of France. From its main square, the view stretches over the Loup valley all the way to the Mediterranean, and on clear days to the Esterel and the Lérins Islands.
Allow one to two hours: Gourdon village is small but hard to leave.
Prefer a ready-made plan? Our medieval villages full-day tour includes Saint-Paul-de-Vence, Tourrettes-sur-Loup, Gourdon and Mouans-Sartoux. For a shorter outing, choose the half-day version. Families will also love our family day trip to Saint-Cassien Lake and the Riviera countryside.
These perched villages near Nice are poorly served by public transport, and parking is scarce at the entrance of each one. Your chauffeur handles the mountain roads in a Mercedes S, E or V Class, under three years old, with Wi-Fi, chargers and water on board. Drivers speak French and English, and Russian on request. For complete freedom, book our hourly chauffeur service.
Each season gives the valley a different character.
Gourdon lies between Grasse and Vence, so it fits naturally into a loop. Start with the perfume houses of Grasse in the morning, drive up to Gourdon for lunch with a view, then descend through the gorges to Tourrettes-sur-Loup and Vence. It is one of the most varied days you can spend on the Riviera, and almost impossible to organise by public transport.
Around one hour by private car, via Tourrettes-sur-Loup or Grasse.
Yes. Combined with the Gorges du Loup, they make a perfect full-day itinerary.
It takes place in early spring, usually in March.
The road has many bends. Your chauffeur drives smoothly and can stop at viewpoints along the way, which makes the trip much more comfortable.
